She was born as Tura Luna Pascual Yamaguchi in Hokkaidō and grew up with three sisters and a brother in Chicago. Her father was a silent Japanese/Filipino movie actor and her mother was American Indian (Cheyenne)/Scots-Irish circus performer. She moved with her famiy to America after the end of World War II. The family first stayed in the Manzanar internment camp in Lone Pine before they moved to Chicago. She died of an heart attack on 4 february 2011 in Reno (Nevada).


Her parents arrange her marriage with 17-year-old John Satana in Hernando, (Mississippi) in 1951 when she was thirteen. The marriage lasted nine months when they divorced later that year. She had an short-time relationship with Tiger Dupree and had an short-time relationship actor Hugh O'Brian. She had an short-time relationship with actor Jack Carter and had an short-time relationship with Bobby Page. She married with retired Los Angeles police officer Endel Jurman on 1 january 1981 and they have a daughter named Kalani Silverman (AKA: Lani Silver). Their marriage lasts until her death on 4th february 2011.

She studied at the James A. Riis Elementary School in Chicago. She was reportedly gang raped by five men, after returning from school just before her 10th birthday. Her attackers were never prosecuted and it was rumored that the judge was paid off. She started to learn aikido and karate after this accident and has a black belt in karate. She tracks down each rapist in order to take revenge over the next 15 years.


She formed girls gang named "the Angeles" with Italian, Jewish and Polish girls from her neighborhood. She moved to Los Angeles where she began with burlesque dancing. She was hired to perform at the Trocadero nightclub on the Sunset Strip when she was fifteen, after using a fake identification in order to hide that she was minor. She became a photographic model for silent screen comic Harold Lloyd and her photos appear in Harold Lloyd's Hollywood Nudes in 3-D. She returned to Chicago to live with her parents and started dancing at the Club Rendevouz in Calumet City (Illinois), where she was known as Galatea "the Statue that Came to Life". Elvis Presly offered her to become a stripper after he saw her perform at Chicago's Follies Theater. The two began a romantic relationship but she declined his marriage proposal. She  became also a successful exotic dancer who travels from city to city. 


Action Movie Career


She made her action movie debut as Peach Petal in one episode of the action TV Series ''Burke's Law'' (1964) and played Tomo in one episode of the action TV Series ''The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'' (1964). 


She plays stripper Varla who encounters a young couple in the desert, together with two other strippers in ''Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!'' (1965). The girls take the young girl hostage after killing the boyfriend. They meet a crippled old man who lives with his two sons in the desert and notice that he hides a sum of cash. The girls become house guest of the old man while they try to seduce the sons in an attempt to locate the money not realizing that the old man, has a few sinister intentions of his own.


She plays an stripper in this story about the weather on the world, which seems to have changed dramatically with violent storms everywhere and long dormant volcanoes who suddenly erupt in ''Derek Flint 1e Klas-6eDan'' (1966). Scientists use eco-terrorism to impose their will on the world by affecting extremes in the weather. American intelligence chief Cramden (played by Lee J. Cobb) sends top agent Derek Flint (played by James Coburn) in order to stop the people behind the extreme weather. He discovers that the weather of the earth under control is of a secret organization known as ''GALAXY''.


She plays Rabbit who's the leader of Toulouse's elite guard in this story about the missions of agent April Dancer (played by Stefanie Powers) of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement in the action TV Series ''The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.'' (1967).


She plays Lavelle Sumara in this story where a squad of sexy beautiful government agents tries to catch an diabolical maniac, who threatens to destroy the world with mass destruction weapons in ''The Doll Squad'' (1973).
